The Gastritis and Peptic Ulcer IgG (GAP-IgG) is a simple 1 hour 40 minute ELISA test for the detection of IgG antibodies to Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori). As H. pylori colonize, it activates the host's immune responses to produce antibodies. These circulating serum antibodies (IgG, IgM, and IgA) specific to H. pylori in patients are a good indicator of chronic and active infections.
